Photo Trottoir exhibit

Yes, I know it’s a photo of photos, but it’s not just ANY photos. It all started when Nicolas Laugero-Lassere, art director of l'Espace Pierre Cardin and teacher at l'Efap Paris (a Communications school) had the idea of giving a camera to several homeless people with no particular directions. The result was presented last Wednesday in an art gallery called Art & You in the 9th arrondissement. The exhibit was a big success I must say (well at least the opening!) ; congratulations to the pupils of L’Efap who did a good job promoting the event. More photos here. PS: I'm currently in Romans at the moment, for the Internet Festival, remember?

Walk the dogs!

Look what I've found for you today! A unique sculpture that can only be seen in Paris in this particular gallery - precisely called "Galerie Pièce Unique". If I'm right, this masterpiece was made by an artist called Cyrille André (funny picture of him here). The gallery is located in the 6th arrondissement, rue Mazarine where a lot of art can be found.

Monkey Business

You may remember this photo that many of you enjoyed. I took it on the occasion of an antique dealer festival that they organize every year in October in my neighborhood (Drouot). Well, they did it again this year but because of a little leak problem in my apartment (see yesterday's comments) I did not have much time to wander around. Still, I came out with this funky monkey pic (God knows why an art dealer sells monkeys?!) that looks like it belongs more to the jungle than to the 9th arrondissement! BTW, if you're a PDP fan have a look at this video, tell me what you think...

A must see gallery in Paris

Yesterday evening I attended a big opening in Galeriew, a gallery that I really love and where I already took a photo last year. It's not only very well located (near Les Abesses, not far from Montmartre) but it's also a great place to see. And, last, but not least, this gallery features real good artists. If you happen to be in the neighborhood do pay it a visit, it's located on 44 rue Lepic in the 18th arrondissement.
